VictorVonDrake: ~The horse strode onward, its hoofs hitting the wet ground as rain beat down from above. Alric stood beside it, holding the reigns as he led his horse ahead. He wear a long, brown, cloak over his muscular built frame and a hood over his head. His right hand firmly grasping the leather as he walked on ahead. His horse had large satchel and fur bundles tied on it. The beast of burden being used as a means of transportation for his goods. He was on his way to an establishment called “The Ox and Cart Inn”, curiously enough had never been there. He usually sold his spoils to road faring merchants, however wanted to see if the coin was of any value. He was more of a solitary individual, preferring to wander alone and hunt. More often than not, people annoyed him. Well, not people exactly, more like the crowding presence and annoying tendencies.~ “Picked a hell of a day to do this, ahh well, I suppose once I get there I can take a bed and wait it out.”~ He mumbled to himself in a deep gruff voice, his red eyes darting forward as the tavern was now in sight. After that remaining distance, he ties his horse up just outside. He then moves his right hand up, petting the side of the horses head before walking on inside. He pushed the doors opened before walking inside, opening his cloak up so it draped behind him and pulled his hood down. His hair long and done in a ponytail, his skin tan with trimmed facial hair. He was going to talk to the owner and see if they were in need of furs, or any other goods. He figured a place like this, was always in need of them. For beds and other luxuries.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar:- It had been the season, when the monsoon had started its way across the green landscape of the hills of Emerald Mountains, where at the foot was the Ox and Cart Inn. A wonderful respite from the day to day hustle and bustle of the sea port in Arachnea. Many a traveller had taken their horses into the stables, to give them shelter but also to stop from their saddles and blankets getting sodden in the torrential down pour. Within the Inn however, the warmth given by the fire place, and the general atmosphere matched that of the Inn Keeper, Mary Muggins, who swanned around, with her emerald velvet skirts dusting the floor boards. Laughter rang out from the bar, with many patrons having already shared in a few tankards of ale, and mead. Nursey was busy in the kitchens, cooking up a storm of stews and cooked meats, to feed the hungry bellies of soldiers and merchants alike. It was a miracle that there were a bunk or two to be found this night, for as the band played a song of old, and had the town drunk warbling along to the lyrics, it was clear few wished to leave the merry setting, and venture back out into the rain and cold. Mary was busy stoking the fires, when the newest arrival brought in with him a blast of cold air. “Don’t forget the shut the door tight, and hang up ya coat, Sir….I be right with you.” <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~He simply gave a nod in reply. He turned around, making sure the door was secure. Moving to the side as his arms crossed along his chest, looking forward. He was a patient man, his eyes looking about and seeing the patrons and others. His keen eyes looking at the patrons and listened to the music. His left hand came down on pommel of his long sword. It was an old weapon of his, the four foot blade sheathed and slanted downwards towards the ground as it was tied to his waist. He gazed at the town drunk as he continued to slur, raising his tankard in the air in as he swayed back in forth and suddenly slipped spilling the ale all over himself before tripping up and falling back on the floor. Alric just shook his head left and right at the spectacle. He just kept out of the way, not bothering to out and fetch the furs or anything until there was a possibility they were in need of them. He had few coins in his pocket, enough for the night. Provided they were not all taken, which might be likely due to all the people about. Their noise filling the back ground that made a mix incoherent banter, the rabble of a crowd.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar: – It was a night that was sure, with the laughter at the town drunk’s antics, and how he crashed to the floor after spilling his ale. Dinner and a show. Always guaranteed at the Ox and Cart Inn. Mary fixed the fire poker back in its keep, and then wiped her hands on her apron, before sauntering over and then a quick bob like curtsey before the well dressed traveller, with the large sword. “Good Eve to ya…name’s Mary Muggins. I be the owner of the Ox…so…what we be gettin’ for ya? Nice hot meal? Ale…? Or perhaps a warm bed for the evening?” She stared up with eyes the colour of jade, and her long ears twitched, causing the small charms on the lobes to jingle merrily. “Don’t be minding the noise, Sir….this lot always are in good spirits, and I rather have that then them breaking up the place.” <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~Alric’s eyes drew upon the woman that came up towards Alric and gave a quick head-bob, curtsey. He inclines his head towards her in a greeting. ~ “Likewise, the name is Alric Maelvaro, I am not in need of anything in particular at this moment. I actually came here, to sell some furs and other things that you might be in need of. Tan leather, couple baskets of feathers and various other things.” ~He said, his voice deep as he looked down at her, moving his hand up from the top of the pommel. ~ “Shall I bring them in and see if we can barter?” ~He quirked a brow, his arms folding along his chest.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar:- The well to do traveller introduced himself as Alric Maelvaro, and much to Mary’s surprise he was a fur trader, interested in doing business with her as he had travelled with samples of his wares. “Ya don’t say? Furs? Always needing those this time of year. I be welcoming seeing some of your furs, Sir Maelaro. Please, when you are ready. Then we talk on prices.” Mary placed her hands on her hips, and nodded to other patrons, that sought to take a seat by the fire. “You picked a good night, Sir Maelaro. Nursey be cooking her rabbit stew, always a favourite, and puts hairs on ya chest.” <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~That comment actually got a chuckle out of him as he turned around to head outside and grab the goods.~ “Heh, needn’t have to worry about that, but I do love a morsel of rabbit.”~He said before pushing the door open with his right hand and walked outside. Closing the door behind him. It was still raining pretty hard as he made his way to his horse. He moved to left side, untieing the strap that held a large bundle of furs up against the horse and tossed it over his shoulder. He made his way back up the steps and back on inside, opening the door and bending on his knees as he went inside with the bundle. He kept it over his shoulder.~ “Where should I lay it out at?” ~He asked, looking at her, his right arm curled upward holding the bundle in place on his shoulder.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar: – Watching him exit to go get his bundles of furs, Mary tutted to herself, admiring the man’s ass as he disappeared out the door. Such a fine man, and a trader to boot. She was a lucky woman this day, if she ever got to use the furs with him for what they were intended. Mary slapped her hand to her cheek and twirled around, dismissing such thoughts from her mind. An Inn full of patrons, did not need to see Mary get all hot and rosy cheeked. But soon enough, Alric returned, and with him he carried a bundle of furs and other skins. He asked where best to lay them out, and she gestured to the map desk in the library, for its size was accommodating. “Just through the back there, under the arch. Long table, perfect for viewing, and who knows, some others ere might seek to be buying from you this eve.” Was a good intention, to earn the man a decent takings. In the mean times, she organised for Nursey to bring him a bowl of steaming rabbit stew. <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~He inclined his head once more to her with a quaint smile before making his way back towards the library. He moved up to the desk, turning himself to the side and laying out the furs on the table. He opened up the bundle, several different furs all roughly the same size. He started to pick through them for a moment, sorting through them based on how good they looked. No holes or any unseemly tears, they were a bit damp, thus a little smelly but it was to be expected. Over all, they were high quality. He noticed she said others might like to back and figured he would head out and grab the other bundle on the horse and grab the other two bundles and two woven baskets full of feathers, other goods he had.~ “Mary.”~He spoke to her.~ “You may check out the furs, I’ll go and grab the rest.”~He said before strolling outside, unto the hard falling rain. He made a count on how many he had in that room, so he knows if any get stolen or not.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar:- Alric kindly laid out the slightly damp and smelly furs upon the table top, making sure to display his wares so that the best was on show. There was also a basket of feathers, and other goods to boot. So much to chose from, and Mary almost did a skip as she ran her fingers over the fine furs. “So soft…hard to imagine that such quality can be bought so far from the sea port.” She went as far as to pick up one fur and rub it to her cheek. The texture was so soft, and luxurious, that she even blushed at the feelings that swelled within her, at the thoughts of rolling around on this butt naked with her love Dreaded Ned the bandit. “I think I will take the large black one and the brown. Both will look so nice on my bed.” Others moved in to check the samples, and it appeared that the trader Alric would do well this day with the sales of his furs. <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~He stepped back outside and started unloading his horse, easing the load on that beast of burden. He took the furs up and set them on the porch, setting them up beside the door. He took them all inside in a couple of trips and set them aside. He was not a little more than wet, but it did not bother him any. He was used to this being a bit of an out-doors man.~ “Yes, that was a nice one. The black one is actually a very nice piece, a bear I tracked to its den. Put up a good fight. The brown was an elk, one of little note… How about hmmm..”~He tapped his chin.~ “I’ll make you a deal, let me stay a night and give me five rend, and both are yours?” ~He asked, quirking a brow as he was selling them rather cheap. He mostly judged the price of the fur on the prey, and how he hunt them. As well as quality of fur. The bear fur was worth a bit to him.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar: – The Inn keeper knew a good buy when she heard it, and the offer was simply too good to refuse. “Certainly. Five rend and a night you shan’t be forgettin’ or my name’s not Mary Muggins.” She placed down the furs, after hearing how he went about hunting for them, and she took out her small purse and handed him the five rends. “A pleasure doing business with you, Sir Maelvaro. I have my best room available, and its yours. Misty can draw you a hot bath after your stew…and I be sure to have fresh sheets and a pan warmer with hot coals, to make the bed nice and toasty, Sir.” Mary was so pleased that this gent had come through her doors, and now she was pulling out all the stops to ensure he had a good stay at her establishment. <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~He inclined his head to her. A smile on his face, it was kind of nice to do business with her he thought. He held his hand open as she put the rend in his hand and his hand closed around it. He put it into a coin purse he had tightly tied to his side.~ “A pleasure..” ~He said, thankful he is getting the nice room. She seemed really nice, made him sort of uncomfortable in some off manner but overall it was rather pleasant. Another patron had made his way back and started looking at his furs he had presented. He just came in from the rain, Alric kept his eyes on the man.~ “Thank you, I am going to attempt at doing some more business before retiring such luxuries. I thank you for your most welcome hospitality Mary.” ~He inclined his head to her once more, that cordial warm smile on his face. Just then the patron had called him from the side of the map table, asking about the fur.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar: – Nursey came down the stairs, carrying a tray of her rabbit stew, and some sour dough that was ripped into chunks for easy dunking. She saw the furs and the basket of feathers, and set down the tray of foods, so she too might take a look at what was on offer. “Such nice things.” She mused, running her hand over one of the furs. “Do you have anything in white? I do so love white things.” Nursey rocked heel to toe, hoping he had something in his kit that suited her tastes. Mary was rushing about now, changing the sheets on the state room bed for their newest guest, and placing the hot coals in the bed warmer and tucking it under the blankets, so the bed would be just right before Alric bid all a good night. Songs from the landing filtered down, and so to did the snoring of the town drunk. Ah such a peaceful night. <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~He talked to the patron a moment before his eyes shifted, turning to the woman that just had made her way in. She looked like she worked here, maybe she was a serving girl or something of the sort. He crossed his arms along his chest as she heard his question. ~ “Hmm, anything white? I might, give me a few moments.”~ He said, looking through. White furs where harder to come by, wondered if he still had anything he may have brought. ~ “I am afraid not actually… not the season for that. I am heading up to the mountains next, if I find something of the sort I’ll keep you in mind.” ~He said, little did he notice the patron coming around his side, walking behind him. The man reached for Alric’s coin purse to his side with a knife and cut the leather strap and took it. Trying to quickly scamper away unnoticed. Suddenly the man did not step two feet away before a hand grasped his shoulder and pulled him back. Alric brought him close before putting another hand up and placing it at the back of the man’s head before slamming it into the map table, a loud “THUD!”. Knocking the man instantly unconscious before taking his coin purse back and tossing the body off onto the floor, cheaply dismissing it.~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar: – “Oh thank you ever so much, your Lordship.” Nursey was not exactly up to who was who as far as titles went, but she was ever thankful that he would keep her in mind for the white pelt. Mary was just coming back to the map room, when she heard the dull thunk of someone’s head hitting the table and she rushed to see if everything was alright. “Oh that dirty rotten sod.” She saw him fall to the floor and bit her bottom lip. “Oh my…what great muscles you have..Sir Alric.” She then seemed to be smitten, that he took down the thief. <3>

VictorVonDrake: ~He give a low chuckle at her words.~ “Think nothing of it, not worth note.” ~He said, he was not one for such displays. Thieves are in abundance, violence is a constant variable. He gave a sigh, before turning about and reaching down, grasping the back of the thieves shirt and pulling him up off the ground with one hand. He walked up towards the door before opening it and tossing him out onto the rain before closing the door back. He walked on back to the library, giving a look around.~ “Hmmm, Have any interesting books here Mary? I haven’t had a good read in awhile? A good way to waste time.”

LoreleiRoseCarrendar: – Books? Why the library of the quaint inn was filled with all manner of tomes that had been collected by Mary’s father so many years ago. “Yes…there is an enormous selection within the library cases. I find Grimm’s tales to be quite a good read. Just, my father did not encourage me, so…ahem. But I am sure you will enjoy the selection, Sir Alric.” Mary said with a firm nod, then Nursey bobbed and returned to the kitchen, still chuckling after watching Alric turf the thief out into the snow. “So nice to have dashing lords running about the country side, these days. Wish I could bed one though.” Mary chuckled at Nursey’s remarks and then wandered back up to the bar to serve more thirsty patrons. <3>

XxXMasaneXxX: -smile coming here and go back to the blacksmith area . Checking for any orders and any money left in bags-

VictorVonDrake: ~Alric inclines his head.~ “Thank you, I’ll be sure to take a glance at it.” ~He replied as she went on out back to the kitchen. He looked through book selves, grasping the book “Grimm’s tales” before stopping. He smiled to himself as he pulled out a book. “The way around a blade” by Nalistern Vale, a collection of swordsmanship techniques and depictions. He took it over to a chair, turning it towards the map on the table. He opened the book and started to look through it. Starting talking about half-sword long-blade wielding for Claymores, glaives and long swords. He started to read through it. ~

LoreleiRoseCarrendar: – Mary had made it back up to the bar, and was wiping down the bench top, cleaning it from the stains of beer and the drunk’s saliva before he passed out from his accident. Nursey had served the last of the meals for the night, and was in the process of cleaning up, when some of the last people for the night were retiring to their bunks and rooms. All in all a good night’s takings, and Mary took a moment, after wiping her hands on her apron, to stare out at the Emerald Mountains, where somewhere, her true love was hiding from the law. <3>
